Location blocked or speed not available?

Use the padlock or site settings beside the address to allow Location, then reload. Enable device location services. GPS works best outdoors. Some browsers do not provide speed; in that case, speed is estimated from successive accurate positions. On a desktop, a Wi-Fi location may be too imprecise.

What are the new engine sounds?

The new Porsche 911 choice uses a licensed recording of a real Porsche 911 by jerry.berumen, with a clearer exhaust response under load. The original eight choices still use the two V8 recording banks. RPM and gears remain virtual. Sources and credits ↗ · Hear the 911 preview ↗

What does this browser app actually measure?

It uses browser location to estimate speed. Engine RPM, load and gears are simulated. It cannot read your Tesla’s accelerator, brake, battery or drivetrain. GPS updates and the car’s audio introduce a delay, especially on phones. The speed display is approximate.

Tesla audio, background use and compatibility

Sound plays through the browser’s normal media output, not the external pedestrian speaker. Tesla browser behavior varies with model and software. This release still needs testing in your vehicle. If audio pauses or GPS stops updating when minimized, keep the page visible or use a phone with the page in the foreground. Browser or vehicle restrictions cannot be overridden here.

Privacy and offline use

No accounts, analytics, maps, tracking or location uploads are included. Coordinates exist only in page memory while GPS Drive is running. Stop Engine stops location tracking. Sound preferences are stored only in this browser. After a successful online visit, supported browsers can cache the app for offline use. Location still depends on your device and browser.
